Jollibee is a fast food restaurant for entire families to enjoy.

The franchise, represented by the happy bee mascot, originated from the Philippines and has expanded to multiple locations around the world including Virginia Beach.

Inside the Virginia Beach location, you will see simple tables and chairs and stools with a modern flair along with red colors giving the interior a zesty sense of fun.

Considerably, there's also a sink outside of the restrooms, don't worry a sink was also inside the restroom I went into, but the outside sink is for any guest or employee to wash their hands before enjoying their meal.

And, the joy part is definitely part of the name of one of their most popular menu items, the Chickenjoy.

I ordered a two piece with Jolly Spaghetti.

The Jolly Spaghetti was quite tasty. It had a nice sweet tomato sauce covering the soft to bite noodles. Melted cheese was layered on top of it, but the scene stealer was the chopped up slices of hotdogs which gave the whole entree a nice salty texture blending it well with the overall sweetness of the sauce. Nothing overwhelming, but the flavor was well balanced.

The Chickenjoy was delicious at first crunch. The skin was soft and crispy to chew and the inside was cooked well and juicy. It had the right amount of seasoning and salt which made the overall experience savory and not bland, at all. Especially, after you dip the chicken piece in the nice warm gravy!

However, the Angus Deluxe Burger was appealing to the eyes, but lacked flavor. Maybe, their wasn't enough of that signature sauce, but, compared to other fast food chains, it was lacking flavor. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't the best burger I had either. Honestly, even though it had all the ingredients of a great burger like tomatoes, cheese, onions, pickles and lettuce and the angus patty, it was still mostly bland. Maybe, it was an off day.

Overall, topping it off with soda, the meal gave me joy! I still recommend the Chickenjoy and the Jolly Spaghetti.

I recommend you save your money on the burger and spend that at your favorite burger place.
