"Manny's Burger." That's the name of this Norfolk food stand. That's what it's known for! Good, delicious and tasty burgers! 

So, I personally thought it was a risky move to try something else on the menu besides their featured food in their name. It was quite...fishy! That risk was their fish special and it certainly paid off! I had my choice between tilapia or whiting. 

Fish from a burger stand, really? Well, another place, perhaps you've heard of it, McDonald's, also serves fish on their menu in the form of sandwiches and that became popular! So, it can be done! 

What I got was not a sandwich, however, but a whole meal complete with fries, hushpuppies and coleslaw. Ketchup and tartar sauce also came along with the deal with a refreshing cold drink of soda! 

But, the main catch was the fish itself. I ordered the whiting and it tasted really fresh! Like, I could taste the ocean and I'm not kidding. That's when I knew that the fish was real! I'm talking about a nice size of tender chunks of fried fish, soft and breakable with no tough spots, and all my pieces had no bones or fins.

It seemed that the fish was not just a filet from the same places that Long John Silver’s and Captain D's got their supply from, but it felt like the fish, themselves, jumped from the ocean and landed in the food supply of this humble burger place.

It was such a pleasure to eat; especially, after I dipped it in the tarter sauce!  

The whole meal was only over eleven dollars and that deal could lure customers away from a place like Captain D's! 

If having no available inside dining helps keep this meal at that price, then there’s no need to rock this boat!  

My meal was a delicious crave that got me hooked! A wonderful new discovery for me and a very impressive catch that actually caught me off guard in a place known to use burgers as their most popular bait! I think the fish could be another popular lure!
