The Plaza Azteca at the Norfolk Premium Outlets location had a classy mix of Mexican food and cultured ambience, I asked my friends to help me describe the atmosphere, words like, "rustic," or descriptions like an outside environment, but inside or the "hanging gardens of Babylon," were all understood when walking inside. Effort was made to make the customers escape from reality and visit a hint of Aztec design as if you suddenly traveled to a far away country that still watches American football along with the European version.
My life long friend recommended us this place and I was impressed. My friend definitely had dignified taste and this was one of the best Mexican restaurants in Norfolk set at the very upscale Norfolk Premium Outlets. Indeed, his suggestion was a slam dunk.
Did I mentioned there was a robot that brought us the food?
I had the Laredo which was a combination of steak, chicken, shrimp, mixed vegetables all grilled with a dash of garnished cilantro. The side side rice, beans, and the Pico de Gallo salad rounded off the meal.
Cheese queso had been splashed on it for an added punch of flavor!
The shrimp was real seasoned, the chicken had a nice pronounced flavor without being overly salty and the steak was tender!
The flavors combined inside a tortilla made it even more delicious!
The Shirly Temple drink was sweet, chilled and refreshing!
What a great place to feel comfortable in; especially, with some friends while underneath beautiful shrubbery (real or fake it was effective in giving that garden vibe) from above welcoming you and glowing lanterns to help you out with the festive mood.
