The Entrées To Catch At Harbor Park!

Take me out to the ball game. Take me out to the crowd! And, while you're at it, buy me a hot dog, a cheesesteak and a cheeseburger at Harbor Park in Norfolk, Virginia.

My job happened to give me good seats as I sat down on the right side of home plate. The Norfolk Tides were playing against the Gwinnett Stripers during Filipino American night which happened on April 8th, 2023.

I haven't been to a baseball game, in person, for many years. So, I wondered what kind of food was served at the stadium.

Hotdogs were obvious, and basically, an American baseball tradition. Cheesesteak was a pleasant surprise. I did not know the stadium served cheesesteaks and the cheeseburgers must also make a presence at this game.

I decided to go with the Tides Hotdog. Even though it's your basic hotdog inside a bun, I had the option to put BBQ pork on top of it which made it a lot better. The tasty pork was tender and complements the typical flavor of the hotdog well.

The cheeseburger had a well cooked patty that complemented well with the cheese and tomato and the lettuce served on a bun. It's a traditional basic cheeseburger with not much to complain about.

The cheesesteak came served with chopped up meat served inside a bun with cheese lightly soaking the whole meal. It was not bland and quite delicious! This is a definite recommendation if you're at a Tides game and it takes the homerun when it comes to my evening meals.

Since it was Filipino American night, lumpia and panceit was also served, but since the demand was high and they had to run out to get some more when it was my turn, I decided to pass and try other things.

But, I was able to show a picture of the Filipino delicacy and it looked really good. I didn't try the panceit either, but since I am Filipino, I got a pretty good idea on how it would taste.

Not many people may know this, but Harbor Park also has a buffet. You can enjoy your dinner indoors as you watch the game behind glass windows. I personally haven't tried it, yet. But, it does look like a great place to eat food with the comforts of a restaurant.

I had a fun time eating my meals during the game and the Tidewater Tides were winning when I left at the top of the 8th. I had to go to work and as they played against the Gwinnett Stripers, it was a landslide. 17 to 1. Plus, they were wearing their special Norfolk Lumpia uniforms which gave some uniqueness to my, overall, fun experience!
