You Must Try The Norfolk Hot Brown!

The Norfolk Hot Brown. I honestly did not know what I was getting when I saw it on the No Frill Bar and Grill menu. I figured it's different enough that I was really curious to give it a try. Was it good? Was it bad?

Well, it was beyond good! It was impressively delicious!

So, even though I wasn't familiar with the dish I was able to recognize the ingredients. Sourdough toast served as the basis for melted cheddar jack cheese, Surry ham, hand breaded chicken tenders, Norfolk Canyon Ale sauce and tomato to help round it out.

The Surry ham tasted authentically with the not so overwhelming salty flavor as if the ham came fresh from the farm itself. The cheddar jack was stringy but complements the ham well. The chicken tenders were not dry and soft to chew, and the tomato was also slightly salted while the Norfolk Canyon Ale sauce kept everything together making sure the whole meal was a delight to eat.

The two sides were potato salad and the pasta salad which were both tasty! The potato salad had a slight sweetness to it which was very cravable and the pasta was well mixed!

I must say that this whole meal was a risky option, but well worth it! I haven't ordered a bad meal from this place, yet!
