Pier 88 is a charming place with the interior decorated with fish, crustaceans, nets, and a pirate.
It's almost as if you're going to eat seafood on a pier itself. All that is missing is the ocean. But, the atmosphere, washes up the anticipation and the hunger of good seafood.
And, good seafood it was served in a boil bag.
The lobster tail was tender and flavored well with the help of that special Pier 88 flavor.
The corn, potato, sausage, shrimp and mussels were stewed inside the bag soaked in the sauce, your taste buds get welcomed to the array of seasonings giving you a very tasty experience with each bite.
The fried wings and the fried shrimp were crunchy and tender with the hot sauce giving both an extra kick. Even more delicious when you find out you're getting it on a discount on Sundays.
Overall, land dwellers are recommended to set sail to one of the best seafood destinations in Hampton Roads. Wash it down with a good and refreshing half & half tea.
